Kaspa is the fastest and most scalable instant confirmation transaction layer ever built on a proof-of-work engine. Transactions sent to miners can be included immediately in the ledger, structured as a revolutionary blockDAG.

How to install the windows GUI wallet.
Go to https://kdx.app and download the wallet. If the kdx website is not loading, you can download it from here Kaspa wallet.
After you download the wallet, install it like you install a program.
Steps to install it (for those who don’t know)
- Double-click on the file you just downloaded, kdx-v2.12.1-windows-x64.exe.
- Click run
- Click ok
- Click next and install
After the installation is finished, an icon will appear on your desktop with the name KDX. Double-click on it to start the wallet.
As you can see, my wallet is almost fully synced. How do we know that? By checking the DAG SYNC status (My wallet is in dark mode, you can change that by going to the settings tab and choosing “Dark Theme”).
It will take some time, like 1 – 2 hours to fully sync, or you can download the Kaspa blockchain from here if you don’t want to wait.
What you need to do after downloading the blockchain from the above link.
- You first need to start the wallet and then close it so the data folder .kdx will be created in your windows username folder C:\Users\[username]\.kdx .
- Go to C:\Users\[username]\.kdx and delete the data folder.
- Copy the archive you downloaded to C:\Users\[username]\.kdx and extract it here (after you extracted the archive you can delete it).
- After you extract the archive, start the wallet and let it sync. It will take less time to sync, like a few minutes fully.
How to create a new wallet.
Step 1. After you start the wallet, go to the Wallet tab.
Step 2. Click the “Create New Wallet” button to create a new wallet.
Step 3. You must input your password on both fields and click next (the password should be the same in both fields). The password should contain at least eight characters, one capital, one lower, one number, and one symbol.
Step 4. In the next window, you will get your wallet Recovery Seed which you will need to write it down in a text document or on paper because you will need it to recover your wallet address in case something happens with your Kaspa wallet windows GUI.
After you write down your Recovery Seed, not the one you see above but the one you received in your wallet, click next.
Note: If you save your Recovery Seed in a text document, write all the words in the same line with space between them so it will be easy for you to recover it.
The next three windows will ask three random words from your Recovery Seed phrase. After you choose the correct words, click done. The next window will show you your wallet address similar to this one kaspa:qqv34hfkrwq8ys743afkre5f3lqefs63r5608f4802gva23cuy3yjjx3gkayr .
How to recover Kaspa wallet.
In the window from Step 1, you click on the “Recover from Seed” button. In the new window, you will write all the words you saved from Step 4. If you have saved your words in a text document and on the same line with space between them, you need to copy all of them and paste them in the first field, which will automatically fill out all the fields for you(remember you will need to copy all the words, not just one).
If you did not save it in the same line with space between them, you must manually write down all of them in order.
After doing what you see in the pictures above, click the “Recover Wallet” button. The next window will ask you to set a password for your wallet.
